FAQs

  • When and where is the Walk?
    Sunday, April 22nd at Portland International Raceway (PIR): 1940 N Victory Blvd, Portland, 97219.

  • Is there parking or public transportation nearby?
    There is plenty of public parking available at PIR, however, we strongly encourage everyone to carpool or take public transportation. PIR is a short walk (0.6 mi) from the Delta Park/Vanport Max Station.

    There will be a shuttle bus from 9:50 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. that will shuttle walkers to and from the Max Station. 

  • When does online registration close?
    Friday, April 20th at 11:59 p.m. PST.  However, you can register the morning of the event at the Registration Tent!

  • How long is the Walk?
    The walk is just over 3K, which is approximately 2 miles.  You can also register as a virtual walker or join us on Walk day and enjoy walker village while the Walk is in progress.

  • Where should I meet my team?
    Check out our event map (pictured above) and connect with your Team Captain on a meeting place! 

  • Where do I pick up my t-shirt?
    If you raised $100 or more individually, you are eligible for an event t-shirt!  Shirts can be picked up at the Registration Tent.

  • Is the Walk accessible to all?
    Yes!  We welcome people of all abilities to participate.  The walking course is on a smooth, cement track suitable for anyone using a wheelchair or walker.

  • Will water be available?
    Definitely!  We will have plenty of water in the Walker Village and along the course.  In honor of Earth Day, please make sure to bring your reusable water bottles to fill up! 

  • Can I bring my kids?
    Absolutely!  This is a multi-generational event and there will be a Kids Zone that will provide fun activities and entertainment. 

  • Can I bring my dog?
    No.  To ensure the safety of all participants at PIR, please keep your furry friends at home.  ONLY Emotional Support or Service Animals are allowed at the event, and must be leashed. 

  • What if it rains?
